Do
I need to wear gloves while using i-screen?
|
|
Rubber gloves can effectively
prevent any contacts between operator’s hands and the reagents, thus
contamination can be prevented. However,
gloves are not necessary. As long as you
take extra care during the test and follow the Essential hand washing
procedures, contamination can also be prevented.

How many tests can I run at a time? Why?
|
|
48 tests can be run at a time with
the provided Tube Racks and Reaction Oven. However, exceeding 12 tests at one
time initially is not are recommended. The number of tests can be adjusted
according to operator’s practical skills. Human error can be avoided for trying
too many tests at one time.

What do I do with both Tube 2 and 5 already dissolved but not yet
run out?
|
|
Once Tube 2
and 5 are dissolved, they should be used immediately. However, if the tests must
be stopped, both tubes can be temporary stored at the refrigerator (not in the
freezer) and used within 2 hours. Other unused reagents can be stored at room
temperature. If the tests cannot be resumed after 2 hours, the whole set of
reagent including the samples should be discarded.

What do I do if the reagent spilled accidentally?
|
- For unused reagents – if leakage is found with the fresh opened and
not utilized test kit; please do not use the reagent. Store it temporary as
well as report this problem to your local agents or customer service
representatives for free exchange. It is also recommended users to recheck the
condition of the freezer as the problem may occur if the temperature is not
reached to the frozen temperature as well as if the kits may be squeezed.
- For opened but unused reagent – the results may be affected if
leaking is found. For Tube 0, Tube 1, Tube
2-1, Tube 5-1 or dissolved Tube 2, if spilled, please take another new kit and
restart the test. For Tube 3, Tube 4, dissolved Tube 5, Tube 6, or Tube 7, if
spilled and the leftover reagents are no longer enough for submerging both
windows on detection stick, please also take another new kit to restart the
test again.
- For opened and used reagent – contamination may be occurred if
spilled, especially with Tube 2. If spilled happened, please use paper tower to
absorb all the spilled liquid, and put it in the plastic bag and discard it.
The spaces being spilled over must be wiped twice thoroughly with damp paper
tower. This is essential to avoid the spilled of amplified nucleic acid from contaminating
and affecting the latter tests.

Can
I use partially defrost reagents for the test ?
|
|
No! Because
partially defrost reagents contains incorrect reagent concentration which will
lead to a failure result.
|
|
Can I still use the reagents inside the vacuum pack if the pack is deflated?
|
|
No! If pack
has been deflated, please use another new kit for if it is not vacuumed, the
reagents inside may be deliquesce and lost its activity. If the package is not
damaged and still valid, please contact your local agents for exchange.

|
Do I have to pre-heat the oven for more than 30 minutes beforehand?
|
|
Yes! For the
enzyme in the reagent to be function well, the best reaction temperature and
time is 60℃for 90
minutes. Thus, please make sure that the oven has reached to 60℃before the test.
The oven
temperature is unstable when it has just reached to the requested temperature
less than 30 minutes. Test accuracy is assured after pre-heating for 30 minutes
for temperature becomes stable.
